Dr. Aryeh Berlin

Dr. Aryeh Berlin is a New Jersey licensed clinical psychologist and founder of Aspire Psychological. He is an expert in treating:

Dr. Berlin has vast clinical training experiences including a residential adolescent addiction treatment center in Israel, community mental health centers and youth detention centers.  He was also a case manager and lead therapist in the youth services department of the Ridgeview Institute, a prominent psychiatric hospital in Georgia.

Dr. Berlin completed his clinical internship training at South Shore Mental Health. His training focused on treatment-resistant childhood severe emotional and behavioral disorders. His post-doctorate training focused on motor vehicle accident-related trauma.  Dr.Berlin is the director of counseling at Yeshiva Ktana of Passaic, a private elementary school.

He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association, The Society of Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychology, Psychologists in Independent Practice, Northeast Counties Association of Psychologists, and the Association of Orthodox Jewish Psychologists.

Dr. Berlin has lectured on parenting children with emotional and behavioral difficulties,child development, helping children with school related challenges and trauma.  Audiences included attorneys, mental health professionals, parents and educators.

Dr. Elisheva Jakobov-Assouline

Dr. Jakobov-Assouline is a licensed psychologist who has eclectic experience working in schools, inpatient and outpatient settings, and community residential homes. She received her Psy.D. from Hofstra University and her B.A from Stern College for Women, Yeshiva University.

Dr. Jakobov-Assouline completed her pre-doctoral internship at Zucker Hillside Hospital, on the adult women’s and perinatal unit. She then completed her Postdoctoral training at Achieve Behavioral Health treating individuals with anxiety, adjustment disorders, depression, and emerging adult related issues.

Dr. Jakobov-Assouline utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and positive psychology to help you become the best version of yourself.  Her approach is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused. Dr. Jakobov-Assouline tailors treatment to fit your individual needs and instill in you the hope, courage, and confidence to ultimately navigate the challenges in your life.  She is a member of the Association of Orthodox Jewish Psychologists. Dr. Aryeh Berlin

Dr. Aryeh Berlin is a New Jersey licensed clinical psychologist specializing in motor vehicle accident related trauma, parenting, childhood emotional and behavioral issues, and school related challenges.  He is an expert in treating social anxiety, separation anxiety, school refusal, generalized worry, phobias, OCD, panic attacks, selective mutism, depression, ADHD, disruptive behavior problems, parent-child relational issues and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). 

Dr. Berlin earned a BA in Psychology University of Maryland, Baltimore County.  He completed his masters and doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Georgia School of Professional Psychology a program accredited by the American Psychological Association.

Prior to graduate school Dr. Berlin volunteered in Israel at Retorno- a residential adolescent addiction treatment.  Graduate training included community mental health centers and youth detention centers.  He was also a case manager and lead therapist in the youth services department of the Ridgeview Institute, a prominent psychiatric hospital in Georgia.

Dr. Berlin completed his clinical internship training at South Shore Mental Health, a highly selective and competitive program accredited by the American Psychological Association. His training focus was on treatment-resistant childhood severe emotional and behavioral disorders. His post doctorate training focused on motor vehicle accident related trauma. Dr. Berlin is currently the director of counseling in a private school where he has worked for a decade and the director of Aspire Psychological, LLC a practice that focuses on Motor Vehicle Accident Trauma.

Dr. Berlin has published research on family-based wilderness therapy interventions and has lectured on parenting, trauma, and
child development.

He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association, The Society of Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychology and Psychologists in Independent Practice.
