Our Services

Our Services Across New Jersey

Child Therapist in New Jersey

Kids with anxiety rarely come out and say “I am anxious.” They say their stomach hurts. They refuse school. They cannot eat lunch in the cafeteria. They ask the same reassurance questions over and over and still cannot settle. They freeze when called on in class or fall apart completely in situations that seem manageable to everyone around them. Our child therapists across New Jersey are trained to read those signals and understand what is actually going on underneath.

We use evidence-based treatments including CBT and SPACE, including Parent Management Training (PMT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and we take a comprehensive view of your child’s situation, looking at what is happening at school, at home, and with any other providers in the picture. Treatment is structured and goal-directed. We work toward something concrete every session and keep termination in sight from day one, because the goal is lasting improvement, not indefinite therapy.

ADHD Therapist in New Jersey

Our ADHD therapists in New Jersey take a whole-child approach, helping kids build structure, manage impulsivity, and rebuild the self-esteem that takes a hit when ADHD goes unsupported. We work with parents and coordinate with schools when appropriate.

PTSD Therapist in New Jersey

Trauma in children does not always look the way parents expect. It can show up as irritability, nightmares, regression, or sudden changes in behavior. Our PTSD therapists in New Jersey provide trauma-informed, evidence-based care to help children process difficult experiences and rebuild their sense of safety at their own pace.

Parenting Support in New Jersey

Parenting a child with anxiety or another mental health challenge is genuinely different from parenting other children. Strategies that work for most kids often backfire here. The instinct to protect, to ease distress, to make things easier, can actually reinforce the very thing you are trying to fix.

Our parenting work is clinical parent training grounded in evidence-based approaches including SPACE, Parent Management Training (PMT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). We help parents understand exactly what is happening with their child, why common approaches are not working, and what to do instead. What you work on in parent sessions is coordinated directly with your child’s treatment so everything is moving in the same direction. When parents know what they are doing, kids get better faster.

Also Serving Adults in New Jersey

We also work with adults dealing with anxiety disorders and depression. While child and family care is our specialty, we provide individual therapy for adults navigating these challenges, including parents and caregivers managing their own mental health alongside supporting a struggling child.

Our Approach

How We Work

A lot of practices offer therapy. What we offer is something more specific than that. Every child who comes to Aspire Psychological Group gets a comprehensive, structured approach built around their particular situation, not a generic treatment template.

We start by looking at the full picture. That means understanding what is happening at school, what is happening at home, what the medical history looks like, what other providers are involved, and exactly how anxiety or the presenting challenge is showing up across every part of your child’s life. We do not just treat symptoms in a room once a week. We want to understand the whole child.

From there we build a focused, goal-directed treatment plan using the most effective evidence-based approaches available, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), including Parent Management Training (PMT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), along with other methods matched to your child’s specific presentation. Every session has a purpose. We are always working toward something concrete, and we keep termination in sight from the beginning because the goal is not indefinite therapy. It is real, lasting improvement so your child can get back to being a kid.

We are also genuinely collaborative. We do not work in isolation. If your child’s school is involved, we talk to them. If there is a pediatrician or prescriber in the picture, we coordinate with them. Everyone who is part of your child’s care is part of the conversation, because that kind of coordinated support produces better outcomes than any one provider working alone.

What Parents Say

Families Who Have Been Where You Are

"What struck me most was the combination of intuition and knowledge. You need someone who understands the research but can also read a child in the room. That is what we found here. And it worked."
